The Color Revolution

By : DATUK TAJUL URUS

THE Thais had their share of Red shirts seizing control of Bangkok SuwarnaBhumi International Airport and subsequently changing the Thai’s leadership. We in Malaysia are challenged by the Bersih Movement that seeks for so called ‘Electoral Reforms’.

Malaysia would also see color revolution take to their streets. This time in Malaysia by the yellow-clad, NED-funded Bersih movement. The official NED website listed four NGOs receiving funds for their operations in Malaysia. They are the IRI ($400,000), Mkini Dotcom Sdn Bhd ($100,000), NDI – National Democratic Institute for International Affairs ($322,500) and Suara Inisiatif Sdn Bhd – SUARAMA ($85,000).

According to a source within PKR, the IRI infiltrated the PKR (formerly Parti Keadilan Nasional) since 1998 but its direct involvement only began after Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was released from prison in 2004.

What is the significant of Thai’s Red Shirts and Malaysia’s Yellow Shirts? They are part of a bigger global movement known as the ‘Colour Revolutions’.

Color revolutions are, without a doubt, one of the main features of global political developments today. Should the casual reader immediately wonder what a ‘color revolution’ is, keep reading, our view here is unique, but we most certainly have some answers.

Let us first begin with the Wikipedia definition. That website introduces the concept by stating the following:

Photo: Thaksin Shinawatra, a long time servant of the global elite, since before even becoming Thailand's prime minister in 2001, reports to the CFR in New York City on the eve of the 2006 military coup that ousted him from power. He has now returned to power in Thailand via a proxy political party led by his own sister, Yingluck Shinawatra. Securing the votes of only 35% of eligible voters puts on full display how tenuous his support really is within a nation he claims stands entirely behind him.
"Color revolution(s) is a term used by the media to describe related [political] movements that developed in several societies in the CIS (former USSR) and Balkan states during the early 2000s. Some observers have called the events a revolutionary wave.

"Participants in the color revolutions have mostly used nonviolent resistance, also called civil resistance. Such methods as demonstrations, strikes and interventions have been [used to] protest against governments seen as corrupt and/or authoritarian, and to advocate democracy; and they have also created strong pressure for change.

These movements all adopted a specific color or flower as their symbol. The color revolutions are notable for the important role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and particularly student activists in organizing creative non-violent resistance.

"These movements have been successful in Serbia (especially the Bulldozer Revolution of 2000), in Georgia's Rose Revolution (2003), in Ukraine's Orange Revolution (2004), in Lebanon's Cedar Revolution and (though more violent than the previous ones) in Kyrgyzstan's Tulip Revolution (2005), in Kuwait's Blue Revolution (2005), in Iraq's Purple Revolution (2005), and in Czechoslovakia's Velvet Revolution (1989), but failed in Iran's Green Revolution(2009–2010) .

Each time massive street protests followed disputed elections or request of fair elections and led to the resignation or overthrow of leaders considered by their opponents to be authoritarian."

What the Wikipedia article fails to mention is the massive foreign funding, and at least any notion that color revolutions are psychosocial operations of deception.

It's a fact that Western governments (especially the US government) and various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) spend millions of dollars to co-opt and ‘channel’ local populations of targeted countries against their own political leadership.

Empty democracy slogans and flashy colors aside, we argue that color revolutions are good old-fashioned regime change operations: destabilization without the tanks.

The secret ingredient is a sophisticated science used to manipulate emotions and circumvent critical thinking. History shows that, to much of the power elite, humanity is seen as a collection of nerve endings to be pushed and pulled one way or the other, sometimes made to tremble in fear, sometimes made to salivate like Pavlov's dogs.

These days the manipulation is so pervasive, so subtle, so effective, that even critical individuals at times must necessarily fail to recognize how often--or in what context--they have fallen prey.

Of course fear is the most obvious emotion played upon to effect massive social change. One need only to reflect upon the last ten years, since 9/11, to know that fear is a primary instrument used to initiate and justify dangerous shifts in public policy.

But as humanity has been physiologically equipped with a range of emotions, and is not merely arrested and controlled by fear alone, a strata of behavioral and political science also found it useful to master the flip-side of the behavioral spectrum, and by that we mean desire, and all that drives groups of individuals to act, even in the face of fear, in pursuit of something worthwhile.

Many are the professions that utilize this type of understanding, including (but not limited to) marketing, advertising, public relations, politics and law-making, radio, television, journalism and news, film, music, general business and salesmanship; each of them selling, branding, promoting, entertaining, sloganeering, framing, explaining, creating friends and enemies, arguing likes and dislikes, setting the boundaries of good and evil: in many cases using their talents to circumvent their audiences' intellect, the real target being emotional, oftentimes even subconscious.

Looking beneath the facade of the color revolutionary movement we also find a desire-based behavioral structure, in particular one that has been built upon historical lessons offered by social movements and periods of political upheaval.

It then makes sense that the personnel of such operations include perception managers, PR firms, pollsters and opinion-makers in the social media. Through the operational infrastructure, these entities work in close coordination with intelligence agents, local and foreign activists, strategists and tacticians, tax-exempt foundations, governmental agencies, and a host of non- governmental organizations.

Collectively, their job is to make a palace coup (of their sponsorship) seem like a social revolution; to help fill the streets with fearless demonstrators advocating on behalf of a government of their choosing, which then legitimizes the sham governments with the authenticity of popular democracy and revolutionary fervor.

Because the operatives perform much of their craft in the open, their effectiveness is heavily predicated upon their ability to veil the influence backing them, and the long-term intentions guiding their work.

Their effectiveness is predicated on their ability to deceive, targeting both local populations and foreign audiences with highly-misleading interpretations of the underlying causes provoking these events. And this is where we come in: to help deconstruct the deception.

But we will not just cover color revolutions here, as color revolutions are bound up in the larger geopolitical universe. A color revolution is only an instrument of foreign policy--only a tool-the ultimate object being the geopolitical advantages gained by powerful financiers and the brain trust they employ. It follows that understanding geopolitical context (and motive) is necessary to understanding the purpose of the color revolution.

Toward that end, we will discuss and analyze relationships of global power in great detail. We will highlight specific institutions of power; identify what their power rests upon; draw attention to the individuals that finance and direct their activities; speculate upon some of their motives; and get to know the broad range of tools they use to achieve them, tools which include the color revolution.

As in-depth studies into the color revolution are far too rare, and as the issue itself is far too obscure, we hope to draw more attention to it; to spark discussion and even debate.
It is an issue that takes time and patience. And it is for those that are willing to provide this time and patience that we offer all of you who visit this blog nothing but the truth.

“Never utter these words: 'I do not know this, therefore it is false.' One must study to know; know to understand; understand to judge.” The Truth Revealed!

Not one flowerpot will be knocked down, not one brick will be thrown...

....kata former deputy Bersih chairman sebelum ini... (KLIK)

"This the country that want to export and impose its brand of freedom and democracy to the third and developing world.

They prefer to let freedom prevails at the cost of massive destruction to properties and lives of innocent people rather than taking tough measures to protect lives and properties from hordes of scumbags rampaging the streets, looting, burning buildings and cars at will. "

Kita Manusia Biasa

Only In Malaysia....

Now, that is something that will make some mobster/rioter organisers think twice before running wild in the streets in the future. This indeed can be considered as deterrent effort by IKHLAS.

Anyways.. that was not the topic of this article, actually.

Well.... Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?) you can have an accused, on trial, jetting in and out of the country, roaming freely across the nation, putting the accuser, the judges and the government on trial outside the court, out in the public. And he has been doing that for 3 years already, managing to postpone his trials more than 50 times. A well deserving note in the Malaysian Books of Records.

The extent of his freedom? You can very well imagine that when, it is the ACCUSED who in the real sense, manage to put the accuser, the judges and the government in the dock OUTSIDE the courtroom, both nationally and international, for 3 years now.

That's not about it yet. Look at his latest game-plan! Remember his PutraJaya antique that will be smooth and fast, according to one Bakri Musa (this guy is living happily outside the country, isn't he)? Just two days ago the nation (and the world, mind you!) witnessed another desperate attempt of the ACCUSED which could have made the government collapse and could have send the whole nation into chaos. See how FREE the ACCUSED is?

Let's recap some of the events, happened recently.

He used this one small fish wanting to be in a big pond to come up with sheet of demands, nicknamed BERSIH 2.0, against the Electoral Commission, kononnya untuk dipersembahkan kepada YDP Agong. (Why didn't this little fish bring the Memo when given the opportunity to enter the Palace?)

But what it ended up with?

The sheet of demands became SHIT, the already long ago-predicted BERSHIT, because the final event turned out to be a "Reformasi" shouting and yelling against the government, by a group of rowdy cows and kaldais out in the open of KL streets. Not really about a genuine and truthful electoral reform demands, brought before YDP Agong in the Istana, in the proper manner or ADAB. The rowdy groups were believed to be mostly NON-KLites, imported into the city of KL, menyusahkan the KLites!

But why the ACCUSED is suspected to be behind BERSHIT?

His own statement coming out of a meeting should be more than enough to make him as the prime suspect! Click HERE.

But wait! One cow mooed before the event which sounded like, "not one flowerpot will be knocked down, not one brick will be thrown" which event aftermath left one dead, many injured, not counting the "menyusahkan orang" factor especially to the KLites and millions of ringgit lost to traders.

How can one not see that he is near-hopeless already in the court? His chance of escaping seems now limited to "the Road to Putrajaya" by bringing down the current government and BERSHIT was one of his another desperate attempt?

My..my..my!!! After this long, this article still does not say what I really what to say today.... Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?).

Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?) you can see one who would have fulfilled all the criteria to become PUBLIC ENEMY of THE STATE who is undergoing court trials with serious sexual misconduct charges can roam the nation freely, in and out the country, putting instead, the whole nation on trials even to have the freedom staging game plans to overthrow the government and bring down the whole nation under undesirable foreign hands influence. Public Enemy of The State should have been dealt with Seksyen 121 long time ago!

And I was told that the mobsters and rioters (yang menyusahkan dan mendatang kerugian besar kepada orang lain) were feasted with Nasi Beryani Gam in a cosy set-up environment?

(Imej seperti yang dipaparkan oleh Berita Minggu Mukasurat 6, Edisi Nasional, Ahad 10 Julai 2011 bertajuk
"Polis tetap jaga kebajikan tahanan - Kumpulan demonstrasi disedia ruang solat")

Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?) where mobsters and rioters (yang menyusahkan dan mendatang kerugian besar kepada orang lain) where given the experience of "One night of Beryani Gam in cosy environment" instead of the experience of being hauled up into trucks and forced to spend a night in lock-ups or detention camp with perhaps some mineral water and basic nasi bungkus.

Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?) where they tempt mobsters and rioters (yang menyusahkan dan mendatang kerugian besar kepada orang lain) with Nasi Beryani Gam instead of damage claim against the mob organiser, like the one being worked out by IKHLAS above. Well, Beryani Gam gives me a good ground to consider participating in BERSHIT 3.0 next!

Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?) where they "menatang bagai minyak yang penuh" those voters from the minority groups who shouted and yelled the loudest against them and will never vote for them instead of the majority voters; who will always almost likely vote for them even though seem to be treated like "melukut di tepi gantang". Their grouses are being aired in the more proper manners, nothing like the profuse shouting and yelling, but still, they are the ones who are being ignored the most... in Malaysia (of the current administration?)

Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?) the showcase of "Democracy" is being displayed by letting "the dogs and pigs" to merrily running amok all around the country, shouting and yelling demands, all against the very spirit of the Rukun Negara and Perlembagaan Persekutuan. The Democracy "Catch 22" showcase is : from an individual, all right up to shit-medias - "dogs and pigs" are free to bring down this country. No law and order of the country seem to be bold enough, but wanting to play-safe. Yet, these "pengacau" are the ones who become "Anak Emas" of the current administration befitting "Kera di hutan disusukan, anak di rumah mati kelaparan".

Hey! the KLite traders who lost RM100 millions of business, they don't deserve free Nasi Beryani Gam?

Hey! Majority of us keep struggling for the "SATU BANGSA, SATU NEGARA, SATU BAHASA", very much inline with the spirit of the Rukun Negara and Federal Constitutions, are we not Malaysians? Are we not the Rakyats who are much more deserving the country's wealth instead of that "monkeys in the woods"?

Why all these "tunggang langgang terbalik kot"?

Maybe because we are shaping this nation teaching the young ones with "non-national" education system kot? There again that can be found....... Only in Malaysia (of the current administration?)

Questioning BERSIH

Excerpts from, "Sorry, You Don’t Convince Me Ambiga" by Abdul Rahman Dahlan - the Member of Parliament for P169 Kota Belud.
"
  • I met JPN officers yesterday. They confessed that the number of people, especially in the rural areas, who fail to report death in their family is a lot. With this kind of lackadaiscal attitude, I wonder why BERSIH blames SPR instead of the lazy and indifferent Malaysians.
  • Another BERSIH’s contentious issue is the postal votes... The popular belief, spun by the opposition, that their superiors will be looking over their shoulders to check who they vote for is a fallacy.  The representatives of the candidates will be there to ensure that does not happen....It is true that most of the time postal votes tend to be in favour of the BN. But this is not surprising at all and can be easily explained. Why would they vote for a party that has been constantly demonising, humiliating, cursing and crticising them? They are also humans with feelings and dignity.
  • So for BERSIH to suggest that the military and police personnel abandon their posts.... is nothing short of being irresponsible! .... I rather have our men in uniform to quickly scramble the Sukhois, the MiGs, the F18s and sail out the Frigates, Corvettes and the Subs to intercept enemies. It can only be done if they are at their bases not when they spend time queing in line to vote in Grik, Batang Berjuntai, Lubok Antu or Long Pasia!
  • Bersih also demand the postal votes to be extended to Malaysians who live away (domestically) from their voting constituency.....In my opinion, a person registered as a voter in Kota Belud but chooses to live and work in Kuala Lumpur has no business to determine who should be the local Wakil Rakyat for the people of Kota Belud! He should be voting for a Wakil Rakyat in Kuala Lumpur who is in a better postion to address issues affecting his life there!... By the way, isn’t asking more people to be under postal vote system somehow contradicts BERSIH’s earlier allegation that postal vote system is riddled with procedural problems which lead to suspicion of fraud?
  • Does SPR have the power, under the current Elections Act 1958, to deny a person whose finger has been inked from voting, but who now claims his finger was inked forcibly? What happens if that person insists to vote by citing his rights under the constitution, finger inked or not? Will we see chaotic scenes at the polling centres?

  • The same goes to automatic registration of voters. It is no better than the current all year round open-registration excercise. It also requires the Election Act to be amended to incorporate the provision. Anyway, when a person decides not to register as voter, isn’t he merely exercising his democratic right? Why is BERSIH denying him of his right not to register when BERSIH is coming to town to champion the people’s democratic rights?
  • I have no problem with BERSIH’s demand that campaign period to be atleast 21 days. But what I find odd is BERSIH failure to see that the opposition is enjoying a 365 days, 24/7, nation-wide-non-stop campaign blitz since 2008.

  • As for the claim of vote buying during election,  I hope Ambiga realizes that the  guys marching next to her on the 9th of July are quite experts in it. Everyone knows that in the midst of the Hulu Selangor by election in April last year, Anwar Ibrahim promised 100,000 land titles to poor homeowners in the constituency (Source: The Malaysian Insider, 13 April 2010). This was followed quickly by Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim’s announcement to abolish quit-rents for shop houses in Hulu Selangor (Source: New Straits Times, 20 April 2010) as well as presenting bonuses amounting to RM6116,000 to all village chiefs and Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Kemajuan Kampung (JKKK) in Hulu Selangor (Source: SelangorKini Online, 21 April 2010).
And I hope Ambiga will not forget the ultimate mother of all vote buying act: Nik Aziz’s campaign promise of heaven if you vote for PAS!

  • Two interesting points can be deduced from the above stories. Firstly, statistically speaking, just like any massive databases, electoral rolls will not be 100% error free even when Anwar Ibrahim is the Prime Minister. It is not statistically possible. There is always what statisticians refer to as allowable sampling error which in no way affects the integrity of the whole list. Secondly, in instances above, the complainants lodge reports to their respective election authorities and allow investigations to be conducted. They do not resort to massive street demonstrations.

  • My last point in this article is a question that I would like to pose to the KLites. Are you ready for frequent street demonstrations in the heart of Kuala Lumpur? Are you ready for the inconveniences? I am afraid that will be the norm if BERSIH is allowed to start. You cannot allow BERSIH and deny others from marching down the Bukit Bintang road every weekend for a cause they believe in. You risk being called hypocrites.

When Non-Halal Is Being Certified....

Update 3:15pm
Jadi apake jadah lagi nak berhimpun baik dimana pun...

"The MESSAGE from His Highness is very CLEAR!"..

read more at HHALEM

Siapakah kumpulan terbesar demo jalanan 9 Julai "ambiga-PAS" nanti? PAS?

MELAYU BUKAN?

Kumpulan manakah akan dikerah nanti? FRU? PDRM? mungkin juga ATM? Siapakah majoriti anggota pasukan-pasukan tersebut?
MELAYU BUKAN?

Dan di pihak satu lagi, PERKASA, PEMUDA UMNO, Gabungan Persatuan Silat? Lagi sekali, siapakah majoritinya?

MELAYU BUKAN?

Okay. Tarik nafas.

Scenario 1

Adakah grafiknya menyerupai kumpulan-kumpulan besar MELAYU yang bertembung? Laung melaung? Tumbuk-menumbuk? Gas pemedih mata? cotar? mungkin senapang? keris? ataupun grafik parang panjang MELAYU mencantas kepala MELAYU? Begini lebih kurang imej nya?

ATAUPUN....

Scenario 2

"ambiga-PAS" Street Demo - The Democratic Hoax

  • She claimed the Sarawak Election was so tainted that they must act with a major rally. The truth is she lied! (Read about the Senadin & Pelagus protests)
  • On Ambiga's claim that they had enough discussion with EC, how many times did they meet? Once!
  • When Bersih 2.0 announced their demands in the memo they intend to give to Agong, only 5 of the original demand remains. That means either the 12 other requests have been shelved or they realised it is not justified. (Interesting!!)
  • The Bersih 2.0 people demanded that phantom voters be wiped out - As for those like Azmin Ali, whose address seems to have five non family member, which include 5 Chinese, EC is not empowered to remove those names out unless they correct the mistake themselves.
  • If the opposition feel strongly for electoral reform, why was there no  private bill from any opposition members of Parliament on electoral rule since March 2008?
  • Bersih 2.0 demanded use of indelible ink to avoid duplication.- (beside being ancient 3rd world practice) The reason cited then was security but in essence the Constitution only mentioned those of unsound mind, criminals, underage and non citizen can be disallowed to vote. Introducing use of indelible ink would only invites lawsuits!
  • Bersih 2.0 demanded a minimum 21 days campaign period.  - EC considers all factors such as political climate, security and public order including getting consensus of all political parties. The periods most acceptable to all parties were 7-9 days. How would Bersih 2.0 know it is not aceptable? They are, after all, only "NGOs."

The most rude act done by Bersih organisers and followers

To submit anything to the Agong, one has to get an appointment for an audience. Then one come at the set time in the proper attire and learn the proper mannerism to address his Highness. The memorandum can then be presented and explained to him.

Bersih 2.0 can meet up with the Agong in accordance with the procedures.
Why the need to bring in such large, loud and rowdy accompanying crowd to just hand in a memo over the fense when they can get to meet and hand in the memo themselves to the Agong?

The Ulterior Motives of "ambiga-PAS" Street Demo

  • The claim of weaknesses and defects in the conduct of elections - Since Bersih has had discussions with Election Commission, it should continue to talk to that body. The Chairman of the Commission is prepared to dialogue.  Bersih, in turn, should respond positively.
  • The automatic registration of voters are beyond the purview of the Elections Commission. They would require legislative approval. If Bersih cannot persuade the Barisan Nasional (BN) government to introduce new electoral laws, has it succeeded in getting Pakatan Rakyat (PR) MPs to table a private member’s bill on any of the electoral reforms it is now demanding?
  • The actual conduct of elections in Malaysia since 1959, from the maintenance of electoral rolls to safeguardingthe integrity of the ballot paper, has been largely fair and just---- given that no electoral system in the world is totally devoid of flaws
  • If Bersih is sincere about rectifying the alleged misuse of state facilities for campaign purposes and the biased role of the mainstream media, the political parties who are in the forefront of this coalition, should set the example in the states which are under PR rule by ensuring that state facilities are not misused in any election or by-election. And yet, in by-elections in Selangor, Penang and Kedah, it is alleged that the state government had deployed some of the resources of the state, directly and indirectly, for their campaigns. Similarly, if Bersih wants equitable access to BNinclined print and electronic media, it should also encourage opposition oriented online newspapers to be fair and balanced in their coverage and analysis of political issues.
  • For all the shortcomings in its electoral system, Malaysia is one of the few countries in the Global South that has held regular elections participated by parties with totally divergent ideologies ever since Independence in 1957.It is equally significant that these elections have been completely free of violence--- which is a rarity in the Global South
  • There is no denying that with three organisations asserting their determination to hold rallies and marches without police permit, the political temperature has increased by a few degrees.  In the first Bersih demonstration on November 10 2007, a number of people were injured. There were also similar casualties in the Hindraf demonstration on November 25 in the same year. In almost all the reformasi demonstrations from September 1998 to the middle of 2000, individuals and some police personnel were hurt.
  • The Western media would be there to dramatise the event, especially since both the de facto and de jure leaders of Bersih --- Anwar Ibrahim and Ambiga Sreenivasan --- have such close ties to the Western media. It would be a terrible travesty of justice since the Malaysian situation bears no comparison to Mubarak’s Egypt or to those autocratic Arab monarchies and republics
  • How the proposed July 9 rally and counter rallies will impact upon taxi drivers, traders, shoppers and the general public is yet another factor that deserves our attention. In previous demonstrations in Kuala Lumpur, people in various walks of life have had to pay the price.
  • It is quite conceivable that July 9 will reinforce yet another unhealthy development which has become more and more obvious in the last two years.

The ulterior motives
  • There are also ulterior motives behind the Bersih plan that any reasonable person would probe. They were not leading to any democratic awakening among the masses.
  • A number of our activists were arrested, some under the ISA. Most of all, I could see that the demonstrations instigated by Anwar from behind prison walls served only one purpose: to keep him in the limelight, and to get him out of prison.
  • Anwar’s ulterior motive is even more brazen today. He desperately wants to become Prime Minister, and will resort to any means to achieve his ambition. He is hoping that July 9 will help him overcome some of the obstacles he now faces and give him the boost that he needs. A massive mobilisation of his supporters and fence-sitters on July 9, he thinks, will divert attention from his sodomy trial which begins later in the month and from his sex-video scandal. At the same time, he is expecting the demonstration to create the sort of momentum that will erode support for the BN and shore up his own position. If this impresses his allies and endorsersin some Western capitals they may even give him stronger backing to achieve “a regime change”.
  • Apart from Anwar’s own party, both his PR partners, the Islamic Party of Malaysia(PAS) and the Democratic Action Party (DAP), are also driven by the desire to gain power through the quickest route. For them also the end justifies the means. July 9--- whatever the arguments against it--- is an important stepping-stone towards that goal.

Demo Jalanan - Siapa Untung & Siapa Rugi ?

Laporan GERAKAN ANTI PKR:-
