The Young Sheik & The Bankrupt Malaysia?

Thought of continuing my previous post on 'language' but found out many bloggers today put up posts about Taek Jho Low or Low Jho Taek, or is it Low Taek Jho? Whatever! Let's it simply be LTJ, not TJL for this posting.

Sana sini ada!

Too many. Malas nak link dan kau orang juga nanti tak larat nak klik sana sini. Anyway, I started to touch on LTJ, here, in May after reading Sakmongkol A47's Secret Open Bidding posting. Then I mentioned it again, very briefly here and a bit more here.

Sakmongkol AK47 had another one, here. Forget NEP and NEM, he wrote. Hantulaut had a series of Mr. Big Spender, LTJ, especially after LTJ was partying with Paris Hilton. Hantulaut's latest is here. Go to Hantulaut to read more about LTJ.

Well, I don't really care how LTJ wastes the money. Even though the money was 1.8 million Pound Sterling for a night of alcohol (Was it his sibling, the GBP 1.8 million ?). I don't really care if it really was his own money, his father's money or some Arab guy's money. If I were a genie, I would certainly knock some senses into this young man's head hoping to see him as a future philanthropist, if he really has that kind of 'tepuk dahi' amount of 'pesta' money.

But, if you had that kind of money, would you be 'partying' like LTJ? Would you throw it around as if the money will always be there? Would you? Would Bill Gate do the same? What if, the money was someone else's? The money was just there for you to do whatever you wished? Would you be partying with Paris Hilton?

What if, part of the money LTJ was throwing around was your money and my money? Part of Malaysians' tax payer money?

Yes!
  • Ada lagi cerita? seperti cerita black gold of Trengganu bertukar jadi shiny gold of champagne wine?

Ya lah! Tak selesalah sebab kerajaan dah warning negara akan bangkrap. Kena tarik subsidi. Minyak naik 5 sen. Gas masak naik. Gula naik 25 sen. Depa tak terasa sangat sebab depa bukan pun bubuh minyak kereta sendiri. Bayar minyak pun sekretari uruskan tuntutan elaun bertugas. Depa tak masuk dapor pun nak tahu gula ada lagi ataupun dah habis. Kalau habis pun, depa tak pergi beli sendiri. Depa bukan pun pergi kedai usung tong gas bawa balik rumah.

Our Early Education System

The other day, on the way to Tadika, my daughter was complaining; "Sakit perut! Sakit perut!" and she refused to get out from the car when we reached the Tadika. "Ok, let's send kakak to commuter station, first", and of course as expected, the "sakit perut" was gone.

On the way back to the Tadika, again the "Sakit perut! Sakit perut!". In 'negotiating' with her along the way, I found out that "too much homework" was the real reason. She demanded me to tell the teacher not to give her homework in exchange for her to attend the Tadika that day. So, when we got there, I requested the teacher to try not to give much homework. And going-to-Tadika-business is to back to normal since then. Hopefully, I dont have to deal with this not-so-mysterious "sakit perut" too soon, next.

We have just recently came back from holiday. My niece in U.K has a son, age 7, a year older than my daughter. My wife had the opportunity to visit the "equivalent to our sekolah rendah kebangsaan". There are six classes (equivalent to Standard 1 to Standard 6) of about 134 pupils in total. My niece's son is in "Standard 1". The teachers practically know the family of each pupil, who's who, where they live, what they do, etc.

From the information I have got, my niece's son is being taught a lot on "speaking" (to nurture self-confidence) and reading/writing, little on mathematic and the rest is fun playing times. Children play, don't they?. The "confident mulut murai" son has only a lunch box to carry in his school bag and spends quite some time each day, playing at school.

Remember Dr. M's 3M? Membaca, Menulis dan Mengira? Whatever happens to this 3M when a growing number of Malaysians don't even know to read and write in their own Bahasa Kebangsaan! The Bangladeshis and Pakistanis beat these "Malaysians" silly at their "home" ground when they can speak Bahasa Melayu in a month time compare to the so-called Malaysians who can't even speak properly since birth! The Malays who are still in need of "tongkat ekonomi" (so they accused) may just build huge business empires selling "Tongkat Bahasa Kebangsaan" to the so-called Malaysians!

Now look at my daughter's school bag. There are books of Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Inggeris, Bahasa Mandarin, Sivik/Ugama, Matematik, Computer, Music, Coloring and lunch box (Did I miss anything? Oh yes!.. plus homeworks some more). In U.K, we were looking for a kitty school bag with rollers (more of a trolley I supposed), but could not find one with rollers. All were without rollers. Why you need a trolley when you only have a lunch box to carry, not "tons of books"?! Wanna analyze this further? How about the later generation of Malaysians will be known as si Bongkok, because kecik-kecik lagi sudah kena latihan angkat berat? Or maybe Malaysia will sapu bersih gold medals in Olympic weight lifting, both in men and women categories.

Najib's 1-Malaysia sounds weird when the first language in his blog is English. Bahasa Melayu only comes second and; Najib is promoting Mandarin, next was Tamil too, presumably after some protests. So when is he going to promote the languages of Singhalese, Punjabi, Siamese, Jawa, Kelate, Minang, Dayak, Dusun, Murut, Bajau, Negrito, Jakun etc? Bahasa Kebangsaan, that is Bahasa Melayu, seems to have less due attention from the government than Mandarin by the weird 1-Malaysia. Oh yes! Mandarin in Tadika and compulsory Mandarin in private schools too!. Zambry of Perak also made it compulsory for the MPs to learn Mandarin, I heard. Mandarin is the official language of China PRC, not even the mother tongues of many here who speaks Cantonese, Tionghua etc. When people unite speaking one language (Satu Bahasa, Satu Negara), Najib's 1-Malaysia promote different languages AND does not seem to give a damn toward Bahasa Kebangsaan. Is that not weird? My daughter may grow up and do business in Turkey. She does not have to learn Turkish now. If she ends up doing business with the China PRC, then she will learn Mandarin at the approriate time. At schooling age, she should 'burden' herself to be fluent in her own Bahasa Kebangsaan, just like the anak jati of British, Americans, French, Japan, Korean etc. She will take the "extra burden" to learn the second language, English. Malaysia is unique isn't it?, uniquely weird!

Sometime ago, I searched for a dictionary add-on to my Mozilla Firefox. I found Bahasa Indonesia dictionary, but I did not see any Bahasa Melayu dictionary. I notice now there is Bahasa Melayu translation in some of the online translation tools. Try translating some paragraphs into to Bahasa Melayu and see what you get. I heard some non-English speaking countries are working with Microsoft to produce Windows in their very own fully fledged native/official language. When we will have a fully fledged Jendela 7? If Najib's 1-Malaysia is not that weird, not at least in the respect of Unity via One Official  common Language, I would have, by now, a decent and comprehensive Bahasa Melayu dictionary online. No more "alien" doing the Bahasa Melayu paragraphs translations on-line. DBP would have been a respected and the world's Pakar Rujuk Bahasa Melayu. Instead of one understand each other via common language, Najib's 1-Malaysia promotes further separation when one does not understand the language spoken by another one. Instead of channeling the tax payers money towards strenghtening the DBP, making it the world class organisation, Najib throws the money to Sekolah Vernakular, every now and then, especially when there is a by-election; sending the country further into disunity chaos. More and more do not understand each other simply by the different languages spoken. How to tolerate and accept each other when one don't even understand each other? One becoming more suspicious of another, adala! That is why I said, Najib's 1-Malaysia is weird in this respect.

Tagore said, "To build a nation, build a school" where you produce rakyat jati diri from kecil lagi. Bukan jadi rakyat tak tahu bangsa, tak gheti bahasa! So Muhyiddin, prove that Malaysian have balls, not just timidly and apologetically succumbed to unreasonable demands from certain quarters. Pay VERY VERY VERY serious attention to the KEMPEN SATU SEKOLAH UNTUK SEMUA (SSS). Revisit our education policy, right from the kindergarten age till the university graduation age, make a MAJOR REVAMP as necessary, NOW!!!. Why now? read the last para herein.
Click the image below and sign the petition!

Speaking about money thrown to Sekolah Vernakular, I have relatives working as cikgus and cikgis. Almost every time there is some kind of look in their face when they came back late from schools. All kind of stories, go and find out from your own cikgus and cikgis, the Sekolah Kebangsaan ones. I think the cikgus and cikgis are overburden lots. Teaching is not the only work it seems. I remember one said that he teaches 3 different subjects at school. So  imagine, 3 different subjects, teaching Standard 5 pupils, there are Mawar, Cempaka, Baiduri classes with each class having more than 50 pupils. When semester ends, comes to the teacher-meet-parents stuff, he has to prepare 'report card' for each of his student. So there are about 150 pupils in Standard 5 and times the 3 different subjects he teaches. More than 450 report cards he has to prepare. Off and on he has to attend seminars, workshops, some out of school duties as directed by the Pejabat Pelajaran, prepare reports to the Pejabat Pelajaran, more reports if he is also a Guru Disiplin, etc.  And remember he also has to prepare teaching materials to teach! Next time when you go to a stationery shops or stationery section of a pasaraya, look at the gadgets they sell to assist these poor cikgus and cikgis. You will find 'custom made' rubber stamps of various kinds, 'STAR' symbols, 'BAGUS', 'DI PERIKSA OLEH', 'PERLU USAHA LAGI' and many more. It is neat to stamp 'BAGUS' rather than  having to hand-write it more than 400 times at each given time!  I thought the naughty pupils will be punished to write "Saya tak buat lagi" 100 times on the blackboard. Nowadays the cikgus and cikgis pula nakal, voluntarily punished to hand-write more than 400 times! So when Najib throws around the tax-payer money to sekolah vernakular, why not hand out the equal amount of burdens to the cikgus and cikgis of sekolah vernakular whenever there is a call of duty from the Pejabat Pelajaran? Since they shout for equal treatment, hand them the equal treatment from and subject them to the Pejabat Pelajaran  as well! Muhyidin, any comment?

Well! after all being written here, one may shout, "You yourself is writing this blog in English, not Bahasa Melayu. A weirdo calling others a weird, eh?" He..he..he... my niece's son knows this blog and at the age of 7, he is fluent in the Bahasa Kebangsaan of Britain, the country where he lives for the moment. Even though he has different language as mother tongue, unlike Malaysia, the British dont make it compulsory to learn foreign mother tongue in their soil. They make sure that you are fluent, both in speaking and writing, U.K. English, the National/Official Language of the country. My niece's family and friends don't go around everywhere and every second of the day speaking mother tongue in U.K. But Malaysia? Very weirdly unique, isn't it? I admit, the "mulut-murai" son will not read this if it was written in Bahasa Melayu, shame on me for not having a word with my niece to have her son fluent in Bahasa Melayu ! Btw, are you fluent enough in Bahasa Melayu to read the whole article fully in Bahasa Melayu?, or are you not Malaysian?

Not all of the chiildren want to grow up to become Si Bongkok, the weight lifter, who only mingle with their own kind because the other kind do not speak the same language as they do. They are suspicious lot, who are quite blur with their BANGSA, and TAK GHETI BAHASA too. They are more or less, robots, designed to produce 'A ++++' in each exam paper but have not a single knowledge and skill to cook a 3-minutes maggi noodles.

Where the heck are my soccer stars?
They are all in tuition class after school, Sir! and we have not finished with our homeworks yet!

Remember, children PLAY and mingle. That's what they do.

Now who robs the children of their God-given right time to play? PM and Menteri Pelajaran with our early education system? While the children are being driven to the wall to worship scoring as many "As" in as many subjects as possible, the adult worship money at all cost (to achieve high income earners in recent belanjawan, or shall I say bajet?). Very unique recipe of 1-Malaysia, huh?!

The last para - Our education system, littered with mafias, becomes more like falsampah pendidikan negara, burdened with its vernacular issues, paper chase mentality etc let alone to be anywhere near to falsafah pendidikan global. Not enough with textbooks mafias, now they are talking to privatise government exams, adding more sampah?. Read OutSyed The Box, here.

Justifying Holocaust ?

A short morning trip to my son's school today, the guys and gal of FlyFM still talking about Taek Jho Low on the air. They short-named him TJL. I heard they were saying something about TJL spending 1.8 million Pound Sterling in a party buying expensive champagne?

Oh well, it is not TJL that I had in mind for posting this morning.

Continuing my previous posting, "Hitler - From the perspective we seldom heard of", it is quite natural or expected that many will doubt such report. Was there any credence to the report? Where is the source? These are perhaps the first few questions asked by many, including me.

But one thing is clear to me. I have never heard such report before, but I have heard, read, watch movies etc so much about holocaust and it is becoming ad nauseam to me. I have read not too long time ago, they hunted down one already very old guy whom they said was a surviving member of Nazi (something like that). And I believe there are certain countries today who make it unlawfully to sympathize with Nazi.

To me, this report of  Hitler that we seldom (or never) heard of is just another piece of material that I read "second hand", very much the same with the materials that I read about holocaust. The difference is only, holocaust is ad nauseam and this piece of Hitler is the first time. So both are not "first hand news" to me, that is, I did not hear it from Hitler himself, neither I did hear them from the victims of holocaust themselves. I believe many of us also in the same boat. Only that we have been fed with holocaust stories over and over eversince the rise of Hitler until today!! So the other side of Hitler, even though is interesting, become so naturally doubtful to many when it came up. Many would find something to justify the doubt such as, "the army looked like Turkish wearing Tarbush" and some went into the theory that "the west is trying to cleverly discredit the Muslim by linking it to Hitler" etc.

Well, at this point anything can be true, either side of the stories. But one thing for sure to me. This other side of Hitler's story is interesting to me and I like it. Honestly, I want to believe it. Holocaust stories? Ad nauseam!

It is so ad nauseum such that I am beginning to believe that holocaust stories I heard all these while are actually a very clever media project by the zionist (there are differences between zionist and jewish). I dont need to convince anyone on who control the world media today, do I? Even back then, were there any reknown media which report "the other side of the story"? Only today, the ICT age, we start or beginning to read/come across "the other side of story"; a piece here, a piece there. Still nothing to compare with the news that have been fed by the media giants of today.

Summing up the above, these questions can lingers on one's mind. What if "the other side of Hitler's story" is true? What if "holocaust" was just another very successful media spins? Even if the holocaust did really happen, was it to such gory scale that put the Nazi so bad? Being fed with all the news of holocaust, I wonder "Why Hitler Did What He Did?" in my previous posting on the Heroes of MV Rachel Corrie/Memoriam of Rachel herself.

Nazi and holocaust stories originated some decades ago and they are still very hot topic, or rather they keep heating up the holocaust stories right up until today. What about the Jews (more rightly I think the zionist)? Don't you read too in the sacred books of most major religions, like Al Qur'an, Bibles etc? It seems the issue with the Jews/Zionist begin from the days of Adam and Eve!

What is the difference between holocaust stories and the stories we heard today  about Israelis (zionist) senselessly killing people, especially the Palestinians? Will the media reportings be the same with the reportings of holocaust in terms of its gory details, frequency, "stickyness" of the reports in the world media, etc?

Or, the holocaust stories are part of another clever project being drummed up and kept alive to justify the senseless killings by the Israelis?

And when majority of the UN Security members are about to pass world's resolution to condemn and bring Israel to justice, there you have the U.S.A. comes to the rescue with it's veto power. Can anyone understand this behaviour of U.S.A. when it comes to protecting Israel? Again, from Matthias Chang's Future Fast Forward:-

Conspiracy Theory or Reality?

Back to the reports/news/stories we seem to believe today, Hitler himself had a philosophy (?) concerning lies:-

"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it."

(Adolf Hitler , Mein Kampf, vol. I, ch)

Do the people behind the media giants use Hitler's very own "philosophy" in their holocaust stories to justify the senseless killings of today?

Hitler - From The Perspective We Seldom Heard Of

UPDATE 23/07/2010

While starting to review my blog roll at ...L I S T E D !!!, after a month-long leave, I found out that RBF had already a blog posting about Hitler HERE. (The email original named En. Lukman)

A link provided by a commentator at RBF - Adolf Hitler Tubuhkan Divisyen Tentera Islam (Bicara Agama - Utusan Malaysia)

Update time 3:30pm

The email was received from a friend in Arab Saudi. It was translated in Bahasa Melayu for sharing, as below - Email originator

    Hitler bersama Syeikh Amin Al-Husainiy

Seorang tentera Nazi melekatkan gambar Mufti Al-Quds

Semoga kita semua beroleh manfaat.

    The Young Sheik of Malaysia

The last time I was away, they increased... oh no!, they reduced the fuel subsidy by 70 sen. Or was it 78 sen? This time when I got back from faraway lands, the fuel subsidy was reduced by 5 sen. When they corrected the 70 sen fiasco last time, did the traders follow suit to correct the prices of goods bloated by the 70 sen fiasco? They said they won't be increasing the prices of goods following the recent increase in fuel price (how could they when they already had durian runtuh during the 70 sen fiasco), but.. err... the sugar was up by 25 sen?

Anyway, I need to settle down after long holiday and need to 'correct' my biological clock back to normal. Sending my kid to school this morning, on the air, the Fly FM guys and gal were talking about Taek Jho Low (a brief mention of  Taek Jho Low after Sakmongkol AK47 mentioned it here) after Taek Jho Low appeared together with Paris Hilton. Hantu Laut made of series of blog entry of Mr Big Spender here, here and here

There were numerous mentions of the guy all over the blogosphere. In Rocky's Bru too. Mr. Big Spender is 28 years old. He studies in the United States and also an advisor to an internatinal corporation (did I hear it correct from the Fly FM guys?). I thought I read it somewhere that he is a good friend to one of DS Najib's children.

Oh well... there is "Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again", too many links about "the son inlaw reigning from the fourth floor", "Sime Darby and The Fox," (huh? "Taman Tasik" juga? Read the first comment by Syed Akbar Ali, here), "Kursus Kemahiran Korek-Korek", "48 peti besi dalam rumah", "buying of some 8 million pound sterling property" etc..etc.. (you see!.. too tired or rather too sleepy to include the link to those various Cerita Cerita Rakyat) and yet when it comes to the story of Malaysia may become bankrupt by Idris Jala, the Rakyat are called upon to tighten the already tightened belt.

I certainly wish that all those "Perompak Negara" and "Poor Rakyat" stories are really my jet lag daytime dreams, especially when no action seem to be taken to stop all these big time robbings. Hey! One of the major income for the government is the income tax, right? They are robbing us, and now, the government (elected by the Rakyat) while seemingly not to take any stern action, is asking us to tighten the belt? Is the government condoning all these robbings?

Anyway, I need to 'correct' my biological clock and to settle down. What is up with Zambry of Perak? (Also mentioned here) Antubahasa at BigDog commented that last time Zambry made it compulsory for the MPs to attend mandarin classes soon after wrestling Perak government from PR. I read that too in Zambry's blog  long time ago. I think Zambry should attend classes tuitioning the Perlembagaan Persekutuan, especially the topic relating to "Hak-hak Orang Melayu dan Bumiputera" versus "Hak-hak Kaum-Kaum Lain" and also the topic relating to "Kedudukan Bahasa Melayu sebagai Bahasa Kebangsaan". That goes to Najib Razak too!

More reasons for supporters of UMNO to dump the party into the drain, not because of the party, but because of its President and the Many of the President's Men.

    Racist

Now, look who is racist among us in Malaysia?

When Sekolah Kebangsaan is designed for integration of all ethnic, there is one particular ethnic who does not want Sekolah Kebangsaan. They want their own school designed by skin color. They seems to refuse Bahasa Kebangsaan by upholding their mother tongue.

So who is actually the RACIST among us?

Will Najib and Muhyiddin be forever weak and allow these kind of deteriorations even more?

Read what the first PM had said, HERE.
