Satu Sekolah Untuk Semua - 1Malaysia DS Najib Untuk Siapa?

Jebat Must Die (JMD) memuatkan kenyataan Lee Kuan Yew seperti berikut:-
“Now we have a very polarised Malaysia — Malays, Chinese and Indians in separate schools, living separate lives and not really getting on with one another. You read them. That’s bad for us as close neighbours”
JMD said, "This is the most damaging statement from the de-facto ruler of Singapore which had dented Lim Kit Siang’s chinese-centric DAP."

I have submitted a comment to  JMD's blog as follows:-
Well we know where Lim Kit Siang stands. Not so surprising if he defended vernacular school (SJK – C) so much. That is expected.
To me, the statement is much more damaging to NAJIB. He had once said this:-
“BN adalah sahabat sejati pendidikan sekolah cina.”
Not sure whether he said that in the capacity of BN’s chairman or it was just in his personal capacity. It looks akward if it was in BN’s Chairman capacity because one might ask, “What have UMNO and MIC got to say about it?”, since most UMNO will support SK and MIC will fight for SJK – T.
AND
Mengimbas kembali ketika beliau menjadi Menteri Pendidikan, Najib berkata beliau telah mengambil “risiko politik” apabila beliau mencadangkan Akta Pendidikan dipinda untuk membolehkan sekolah rendah Cina ditukarkan menjadi sekolah jenis kebangsaan.
The two above are enough to earn NAJIB the unofficial title of BAPAK VERNAKULAR. “Vernakular china” I would say.
Tagore once said:-
"TO BUILD A NATION, BUILD A SCHOOL"
which, to me, nation building "business" must start from tender age, "bermula di bangku sekolah lagi".

In terms of nation building, more specifically, education system - what is DS Najb's 1-Malaysia trying to achieve?

Naj, a visitor to my blog commented this:-
"If anything we should stop all these "Malaysia berbilang bangsa tapi bertoleransi" ads. They're sickeningly cliched. And I think these ads actually EMPHASIZED the fact that we are all different people BUT we should tolerate and accept and look for the best in each other. I mean, if a kid were to see or hear or read these ads, the first thing they'll think is; "hey yeah, I didn't notice it at first but now the ad's mentioned it, my friends ARE different from me. Now I'd have to be a bit more careful when dealing with them because they're different from me and I should tolerate what they're doing". And the hypocrisy starts..."
We are 1-Malaysia, yet we are constantly reminded of and told to live in differences...sekolah vernakular, bahasa Mandarin, "Malaysia Truly Asia?", Maybank's latest advertisement in mother tongue which many of us will read to understand what the girl and her mother were saying instead of hearing straight from what was said?... what else DS Najib?

NO WONDER MANY OF US ARE STILL CONFUSE OF WHAT THE HECK DS NAJIB'S 1-MALAYSIA IS ALL ABOUT!
