No history manipulation can beat a simple truthful account of the 13th May when a Tokki tells his grandchild of his yester years experiences.
One may understand why someone goes to a great length trying to 'silenced' the history. Perhaps because the history itself tells a lot about his 'struggles' or even a lot about himself. The 'struggles', what is it all about?
It is a little bit harder to understand when another one agrees to this 'silencing'. Just like he threw a cold blanket once, over the call of many for SATU SEKOLAH UNTUK SEMUA, not too long ago. Or maybe this too is quite okay to him?
Was it the snatcher babi? Or was it really the Melayu babi? I have come across many chinese who look perfectly like a Malay, physical wise. If you go to kampongs, especially in the East and North, you will find plenty of these and I bet that you cant tell the difference on the first look. How come Jun is so sure that the snatcher was a Malay? Could he be an Indon or could he be that 'cina kampong'? Can you tell how much hatred contained in this paragraph below? This is what she wrote:- (boldfaces by me)

She is so damn sure it was a Malay. Why? Again my question, "Was it the snatcher babi? Or was it the Melayu babi, really?"

"Silangok kita olang punya sikalang. Lu Malai ... (dalam bahasa Melayu bermaksud beruk) kita kasi sapu balik hutan." Mereka bawa penyapu besar. Gendang naga dan bendera DAP.
Lagi? Apa mereka buat.
Mereka buka zip. Tunjuk barang mereka kepada orang Melayu ... tak kira lelaki atau perempuan.

Dua hari. 11 dan 12 Mei 1969.
Kemudian?
Esoknya orang Melayu Kg Baru berkumpul di luar rumah-rumah mereka di tepi-tepi jalan.
Kemudian?
Sebelah petangnya, ada kerata Moris Minor dari Chow Kit lalu Kg Baru. Penumpang kereta itu pekik sepanjang jalan, "Melayu balik hutan. Kita berkuasa sekarang. Melayu cibai balik kampong."
Pas tu?
Di hujung Jalan Raja Muda Abdul Aziz tu, dihadapan Pam Petrol Petronas sekarang, kereka itu dibakar orang.
Mana Tokki tahu ini semua.
Masa tu Tokki duduk bujang menyewa di 41 Jalan Hamzah, Kg Bharu.
