Projek bagi mengadakan sistem pengangkutan awam sememangnya dialu-alukan oleh orang ramai, terutamanya penduduk Lembah Klang. Tidak seperti projek Menara Babil.

"Let's see now, 329km of double tracking complete with 2 tunnels one of which is the longest rail tunnel in South East Asia, bridges even a swing bridge and a marine viaduct, 7 major stations plus 24 minor stations plus 3 depots at 2007 price cost the country RM12.485 Billion. Now, the Government should not be annoyed if the people asked whether a 150km Great MRT line project complete with tunnels, bridges, stations, depot, land acquisition will cost that humongous money."

What ever this thing is, it is not economic model perse. Just a bunch of projects being put together. (MEB - "Punahsihat" Dok Tingkat Mana Pula?)
Funding untuk RM36b tu? No problem kut, rakyat boleh kasi melalui pengswastaan AES, tarik balik semua subsidi petrol, gula, minyak dan gas masak, kasi warning kat mamak supaya jangan naikkan harga roti canai (naikkan tariff elektrik takpe) dan berbagai-bagai cara lagi boleh dikorek dari rakyat, kan?
